“A system which is affected by input and generates output accordingly.”
There are many levels of interactivity:
- No interactivity. A button which cannot be pressed is non-interactive.
- Direct interactivity. A button which can be pressed and makes a sound has direct interactivity.
- Indirect interactivity. A button which opens a door allowing a robot into the room is indirectly interactive as the direct interaction of opening a door also opens all sorts of possible interactions in the future with other entities, such as a robot.
