Interactive experience is the the most fluid and flexible medium of them all. There is no requirement for goals, problems, stories, or simulations. An experience can have all or none of those things, mixing and matching then in novel ways to create interesting, coherent and meaningful content.
The closest analogues in non-interactive media are poetry, music videos and visual demos. The big thing to remember is that interactive experience design doesn’t need to limit itself into any one school of interactivity.
The big push for interactive experiences will come in virtual reality. VR technology opens doors for amazing possibilities in creating experiences big and small.
